Advisor in Cybersecurity Certification

The Cybersecurity Certification Inspection at the Legal and Security Department is looking for an advisor with experience in case handling and analysis who wants to help drive the work on cybersecurity certification forward. About the Position

In the role of international advisor, after initial training and learning about legislation and various certification schemes, you will work with legal and regulatory issues within the field of cybersecurity, focusing on the Cybersecurity Act and international arrangements for certification (e.g., CCRA and NATO). You will analyze and follow the development of EU law, international, and national regulations and handle cases within these areas of application. The work also includes participating in the supervision of control bodies and suppliers of certified products and services.

You will contribute to the development of certification schemes, standards, and technical specifications, as well as provide support in the interpretation of standards and technical assessments in supervisory matters, in close collaboration with technical experts. You will also participate in drafting regulations, technical advice, and guidelines, and you will also contribute to the development of the department's work processes and methods.

In this role, you will provide advice to the department's management and staff, contribute with analyses related to the organization's goals, and provide support in handling complaints. You will also support the department's management in matters concerning regulatory application, supervision, negotiations, and strategic issues. As the department is under development, the tasks may change over time.

The work is carried out in close collaboration within FMV and with national and international actors such as CCRA, NATO, the EU Commission, ENISA, and the Government Offices.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel may occur both nationally and internationally.

About You

We are looking for someone with an academic background, preferably in law or political science, or other relevant education or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with experience from working, in collaboration with or as an employee of, a government agency or public administration. It is essential that you have relevant experience in case handling, analysis, and advisory roles. The position also requires a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have experience from EU negotiations, EU cooperation, or experience from other international negotiation work or collaboration. We also view positively if you have experience in policy development or law within cybersecurity or IT, or another area relevant to the position. We would also like you to have experience in supervisory work or similar audit work.

You have a good ability to understand complex linguistic materials, both spoken and written, and you produce your own documents of high quality.
